I just signed up for this forum since my virgin mobile order for the HTC Evo V has finally changed from Backordered > Pending > Submitted and my cc has been charged, 3 days after I ordered from them. This phone will be my first Android phone. In the past 2 years I have used a VirMo Blackberry 8530 but my kids have dropped it so many times that it randomly reboots itself and takes about 10 minutes to do so, each time. Prior to that, it was an LG Env on verizon.
I have been scanning over your forums and have no clue what rooting is, despite my use of the word "root" in my user name. I'll be sure to try and read the rooting threads.
I look forward to learning a lot more about my new Evo V as soon as it gets here, in about a day or two, and I kinda hope it's one without the virgin mobile brand stamp on it. I'm sure there are very helpful tips here!
