Hi. I am a fairly new smartphone user and am just getting into the rooting, customizing thing. I spent 3 years in Eastern Europe doing humanitarian / missional work and used a cheap Nokia phone there. After recently coming home, I was determined to continue using a "pay as you go" model for my cell phone needs. So, this is what I did...

I bought a refurb Droid Incredible via eBay and signed up for PagePlus 1200 plan. So far, I am happy with the results and like my Incredible. The 100mb plan (data) is not much but I use WiFi as much as possible and am OK with the arrangement. Currently, I am using MIUI-112090 after HTCdev unlock with S-ON still active. I would like to move up to the Jellybean version but it is very sluggish for me.

Sounds like you did some good work over in Europe!

I like all the work arounds you did so you didn't have to get roped into a 2 year contract, the Droid incredible was my first smartphone and it is a good phone, i could see why though, that you're having trouble with Jelly Bean.
