Just logged on for the first time, after having trouble with my new galaxy s4. After unplugging it from the charger it somehow became locked in system recovery (3). I checked this forum for a solution. I'm new to galaxy so I had no idea what you were talking about (rooting, using Odin to download something or other). Anyway, after trying to follow the most common suggestion on this forum (press up volume, home and power at the same time) I discovered that my volume button was stuck in the up position. I think this happened because the heavy Otterbox case I use requires a lot of pressure to work the volume button. Using a needle, I unstuck the volume button, tried again and now it works fine. - mavnewyork
