Hi. My name is Erik. Like the title says, I'm currently a Palm Pre (Sprint) user. Looking to jump ship to the Samsung Epic 4G in the coming weeks and I'm hoping to gather some information on Android and its features.
I worked for Sprint from 2000 until 2005, long before the smartphone craze took off, as their service and repair technician in New Mexico. My first smartphone was a Kyocera 6035 and I have carried a Palm phone since, with the exception of the PPC-6700 Windows phone.
I've been using my Palm Pre for 13 months now and I must say that it is the most disappointing phone I have carried. I'm on Palm Pre #5 now, every single one has suffered from a blown speaker. The lag time can be frustrating as well. So begins my quest on getting acquainted with Android devices.
On another note, I have recently returned to Sprint as a service and repair technician in the Houston area. I hadn't paid much attention to the wireless industry in the years since I had originally worked at Sprint, so I'm hoping to get reacquainted with the devices and features quickly. So with that being said, I'm looking forward to exchanging info with all of you.
Thanks
