Hello from ice cold Ohio

[motorhead337]

Hi, my name is Jordan. I live in Ohio. I have absolutley no experience with phones as far as programming and all that goes, I can use a smart phone just fine. I am skilled in cars and performance EFI systems. I have been researching a lot about flashing and rooting phones. If you could, please check out my thread "LG Venice on revol?" you would really be helping me out. This seems to be a very informative site and am looking forward to being here

P.S. I am not computer illiterate by any means, I run Ubuntu and have programmed Arduino boards. I am pretty Phone Programming illiterate though.

Hello motorhead337. Welcome to these forums. I envy you in your auto skills. It seems like the new the car the more difficult they are for the unskilled, such as myself, to do much of the repair work. I hope you will find these forums informative as well as interesting. The information here is all member contributed which is pretty cool. The people are friendly as well as helpful. I did take a look at your other thread. It's not a common thing to change carriers with phones. To achieve root permissions and then to flash a different rom is pretty common. Most phones are branded to a particular carrier and to change that you will want to do LOTS of homework to see if it's possible and legal. In any event, I do thank you for joining the site and taking the time to introduce yourself. I hope these forums prove worthy of your time.
