Good morning. I just received a new Archos 5, Android 1.6, 32gb unit for Christmas and I'm frustrated to tears. The Archos call-in support team is terribly cranky and uninformed, some of the Archos online forum folks seem nasty with newbies - either scolding them, talking over their heads, or just plain ignoring them. I saw your "we're a friendly bunch" so I thought I would try to find some answers to my problems here in your forum. Hopefully I've found a friendly informative atmosphere, since my last week of trying to troubleshoot my unit has made me quite gun-shy. Thanks.

not to be to repetitive, but I would like to add extra emphasis on the "appropriate forum" mentioned by Kelmar, thats the biggest thing I see on these forums and as I've noticed with people who put development problems in like lets say the "Droid 1 (A855)" discussion board, I find it hard to respond to them, because I just don't know they're there!

Archos has something of an eclectic customer base. Personally I'd recommend not taking it personally.
