Help Hello from the Noob

Hey gang, well I've had a lot of fun with my EVO 4G but it broke, and now I'm here. Really like the GS3, have a couple of questions looking for help.

Does anybody else think S voice sux? Is there anyway to make it the default voice search e.g. When you double tap the home button Google pops up instead of S Voice?

Also, I use SwiftKey keyboard. There's a constant icon in the notify bar for it, anyone else having that issue?

You can take off the S-voice when double tapping home button feature, but as far as I know the fastest way to get to Google Voice is to long press the menu button.

I also use swiftkey but I don't have the icon you're describing. Does it say what it's for?

Thanks, didn't know about the long press option. That helps.

Of course, now the icon is gone. I'll post what it says when it comes back.

yeah I've seen that. it is just because you have the keyboard open (you can check that in the top left hand corner on the notification bar. there will be a tiny keyboard icon if the keyboard is open)

Guess it's one of those annoying things that hopefully gets figured out soon. Or will be one of those things that gets on my nerves and I end up rooting it
