Well this is the first smart phone that i have owned ( samsung fascinate) just got it sunday through verizion and so far im loving it. i like the ability to keep up with my indycar and F1 racing from any where.

except there are a few thing that i do not like about the phone, like theres no missed call alerts.

whats the best free app for that sort of thing ?

I don't think he is asking about that; rather, he is asking about an application that displays missed call notifications. I'm pretty sure your phone should be doing this by default.

yeah, in the notification bar it'll show you if you have missed calls. Still, I think there are apps/widgets out there that display them from your homescreen, but I can't recall their names.

That's what I get for posting even sleepy. I believe Mr Number is a decent call log manager/spam blocker. IIRC, it'll blink blue when you have missed a call

it brings up something in the bar on top of the screen but when the phone is in sleep mode it doesnt give any type of sound or signal that i have a missed call, just wondering whats the best free app to solve this issue...thanks

My bad. I'd have sworn it had that function. You could also try out No Missed Calls, and Missed Reminder
