hello i cannot delete .nomedia file

i had tried .nomedia file to hide some files from gallery. unfortunately, i placed .nomedia file in wrong place and now i cannot see any files in the gallery. please help... while checking in my laptop with windows7, i cannot see the .media file thru laptop...

try a file explorer like Astro or ES. Do you know what folder you put it in?

yeah thanks....!!

i can see the file in Astro only when i try to search it.. however, i can't delete the file when Astro brings up the search conetent.. the file is in /mnt/sdcard...


and.. i could also see the file thru ASTRO under SD CARD USAGE... but no option to delete or rename it...

i just deleted the file... uncheked the hidden file option from directory options... thank you anyways..!!

What version of android or app are you using? I don't find any option to delete or any hidden file option.. the file just reappears when it's deleted. Using Android 7.1.1

You should try creating a new thread. This one is over 5 years old.
