Name is Tom. I am a web developer that's recently gotten into android development. I found this site while looking for app ideas and figured I would join and get to know some of you.
I have the original Motorola Droid. I bought around August 2010 when I got back from Iraq. I used to dabble in Java and I'm a professional web developer (PHP, MySQL, CSS, Javascript, HTML, etc). I found out Android was based off of Java and jumped in. My first "hello world" app evolved into my first major app (Joey Ant), which took about 2 months so far and is still in beta.
I have 60 days left in the army and I'll be going back to college for computer science. I might make android development part of my full time job, too. We shall see.
If you want to play my app: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.Joey_Ant.Lite
