If you want truly private for an online group, maybe use Telegram? I think things like Instagram and Whatsapp groups are no longer really private, as they're run by Facebook.

You might always be on someone else's site. even if you are operating your own stuff, e.g. like the Parler social network was using AWS, but then Amazon kicked them out.
