3: phone calls: read phones status an id

there was one where it was sayin about maybe extra charge to me?

i was wondering if any one had been charged extra or if there is any security issues with some of the apps..

i hope someone may be able to help me as i have delete most me apps as not to sure if there 100% safe

Also if you want to be able to connect to the Forums from your Android device, be sure to check out the free Phandroid app in the Google Play Market. Cheers!!!!

Hello and welcome to Android Forums! :)

Many times permissions seem unreasonable, but most of the time there are very good and necessary reasons why an app needs those permissions. The warning about potentially costing you money is there because some people have pay-as-you-go plans for either data or SMS messages (or both) and apps that use those can potentially cost those users money. Most of the time, it won't. I would recommend reading http://androidforums.com/android-applications/36936-android-permissions-explained-security-tips-avoiding-malware.html. It is a rather involved thread and don't be shy about asking specific questions, but the short answer is that most of the time, apps, especially those from the Play store with good reviews are perfectly safe.
