Hello new RAZR family :-)

I've been with AF for almost two years now over on the Sprint Hero and EVO 3D forums. I've just recently been able to opt out of my contract at Sprint and have decided to try Verizon and the Droid RAZR. I ordered two of them for my wife and myself from Amazon yesterday and they should be here by Monday. I've had a wonderful time sharing experiences about my devices and reading what others have had to say about theirs. I'm looking forward to continuing this here on the RAZR forum. I'll post back once I've received my phones and can give an honest first impression.

Also... Does anyone here use the TPU cases I'm seeing on Amazon and Ebay? I use an Otterbox Defender on my 3D and don't like the extra bulk. Can someone recommend a durable, thin case that doesn't cost an arm and a leg (I'll need two)?

I think you will love the RAZR. I do wish I was able to get the MAXX though as my battery isn't the greatest. I also go commando. I don't like cases. I like the thin smooth feel of the phone itself. Even the smallest fraction of added thickness bothers me. Maybe it is my OCD though. Enjoy your new phones :D

I use the TPU case at VZ. I usually buy my cases from Amazon but had to have protection for this beauty on day 1. What's good about the RAZR is that its so thin a TPU case makes the phone as thick as the other phones that's out now. With the case my RAZR is as thick as my old DX and that's still considered thin. The case actually makes the phone feel natural in my hand and without the case it feels almost too thin.

Welcome to VZ and y'all will love you RAZR's.

Best phone I have ever owned. I use the Cruzerlite TPU skins, great impact protection with minimal bulk, and look good.
All the cutouts are perfect, easy to take in and out of your pocket, but not so easy it falls out. It's a perfect fit also, it wont come on and off as easily as silicon skins do and TPU is stronger and adds protection.
$9 and change on amazon.com. Buy 2 get 1 free also.
They have multiple designs and colors. I ended up getting 4 of them. (White/clear skin not pictured).

Welcome to the Moto family. Coming from HTC and Sense, the UI is gonna take some getting used to, but I think you're gonna like it. This is my 2nd Moto phone, and it's hands down the best phone I've ever owned. Plus, VZW LTE is blazing fast.

Can anyone comment on Verizon's 3G compared to Sprint's?

I just left sprint and went to Verizon for data speeds. On Sprint I was often slower than dial up. Now on Verizon I usually have my 4g turned off to save battery..... Verizon's 3g speeds are usually plenty fast for anything I need. And if I do need the extra speed I just turn on 4g....... its crazy fast.

OMG! I've been watching reviews of the RAZR in anticipation of receiving my new phone on Monday... Im so stoked right now! I really can't wait. I'm much more excited for this device than I was for the 3D, and I really like HTC Sense. Idk, something about the new Motorola interface and all the extra features of the RAZR have my on edge. I love the overall build of the phone too. I was kinda disappointed when Sprint released the SGSII a couple months after I got my 3D, but after watching these video comparisons and other reviews, I think I'll enjoy the RAZR much more.
