I stumbled in here while activating a replacement phone--- I'm thinking that these "smart" phones aren't that smart-- transfering apps-- isn't easy!

Here's what works for me. Sign up at Appbrain.com and sync the phone with the apps yu want to transfer. Then using the same gmail account to register the second phone, install the appbrain app on the phone. From the app brain website, select all the apps on the first phone and add them to the second. Then open the appbrain app on the second phone, sync and the apps will install.
