I just got my droid as an early christmas gift, and so far I Love It
Here are some of the apps I've currently been using:
Dolphin browser - Multitouch and tabbed internet browser
Tunewiki - Mp3 Playback & Lyrics
mytorch - widget for a flashlight
paddersync - for both an FTP and file management software
barcode scanner
key ring - to keep all of my membership cards to stores out of my wallet
quick un-installer - by the good people at dolphin browser
Documents 2 go - office style program
Gameboy Advanced and SNES emulators
Meebo - to chat
Then to connect with my home network:
PdaNet - lets you use your phone as a teathered modem for wireless interent
Gmote - allowes you to use your phone as a keyboard / mouse or media center remote
Remote Desktop Client
Clip2Mobile - lets you transfer files and contacts to your phone via the web or over your wifi network instead of USB
PrinterShare - Lets me print on my home printer from anywhere in the world
