Hi all! Been just snooping around these forums for a bit, but now that I'm gaining more interest in "getting into" phone programming, I think it's time I introduce myself.
I'm a student at a university now, just finishing up bachelor's degree and considering higher education in the sciences. I'm interested in cs so am taking courses, but also am interested in learning android. I'd love to start a start-up involving some app someday.
Right now I have a recently rooted Verizon Droid X2 running 2.3.5. I'd like to learn more about creating backups and flashing ROMs so that I feel comfortable doing that with my phone. I'd also like to learn the advantages of having a rooted device for programming purposes.
This seems like a cool community, I'm glad to be joining!
