I used to be fully iPhone only but due to how their phones are no longer really that great I have switched to android. I got the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and couldn't be more happier. This smartphone is really amazing to me better then iPhone.

You can fully customize your new android, from icons to homescreen and much more, all in the play store.
Also take a look at the different launchers, texting apps, and dialers
 
I had android once before then went back to iphone and now switched back to android crazy always returned to android lol.
 
I have used android, windows and a blackberry device . my only experience with an iPhone was my aunt's iPhone she had the first generation iPhone settings kept going out on it I had to go in and figure out how the thing worked. She switch to a android phone when it gave out. She wanted to get her iPhone replace with the exact same model which the salesperson and I had to explain her phone model was no longer made and hadn't been for years. She didn't want to spend several hundred dollars for a newer iPhone so we looked around and found a Samsung device (a J series phone for under $200) on her home screen are four widgets. Message, Camera phone and contacts that's all she uses
