Just bought a cheap and cheerful andriod 2.1 tablet with 1.6 build, from ebay. I am quite impressed with the limited use I have had since Christmas eve.
Like to know more about the Andriod system so that I can get the best use of the 7" tablet.

My guess is that your tablet is one of the many Chinese knockoffs available through eBay. Depending on the GPU used in the tablet design video playback can be somewhat choppy. You'll probably want to try different video players to see if you can find one that works better with this particular tabet. Unfortunately I can't make a specific recommendation because I have no experience with that tablet.

In terms of eBook reader software there are several. I personally use both the Barnes & Noble Nook software along with Amazon's kindle software. Why? Because each vendor has different ePub books available. There are also third party eBook apps like Aldiko and Laputa...
