Hello ...

Allow me to introduce myself...

Imma recovering Crackberry addict that has seen the light and made the switch from a Blackberry 9800 to the HTC Aria. I found the Aria used on Ebay in very good condition, but with a battery that would not last 12 hours on a full charge. I have installed CyanogenMod 7 ( V7.0.3) in hopes of finding better battery out-put, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

I figure my choices are 1) Buy a new battery or 2) try a different OS??
I would appreciate any advice or just a "hello", thanks in advance!!

Welcome to Android Forums!

If you've got everything turned on and sync'ing frequently 12 hours does not seem unreasonable. If you only enable WiFi and GPS when you are using them and you stop sync'ing widgets for the time being, does your battery life improve dramatically?

You can also go to menu>settings>about phone>battery you can see what part of the system is using the most juice.
