My name is Matthew. My interest in android is for development as well as personal use. I hope to learn what people want and what makes a good app. My dev skills for android are limited, but I'm learning along the way. I know some java and c++, and to a lesser extend just enough html css js php to scrape by with some rather pitiful attempts at website/interface design. The backend stuff interests me much more.
At the minute the only android device I have is a Disgo 6000, an awful heap of junk (but I knew that when I bought it, it's fine for what it cost). It seems ok to test some puzzle games I'm working on (html interface and nothing fancy), but development beyond that will require something better (and for personal use the disgo is not so good either). Might get a galaxy soon, money permitting.
Tech interests me, particularly how various image/audio/video encoding schemes work, video containers, compression and the like.
I like video games, particularly older ones (atari st era to ps2 era). To be honest I rarely play games any more, not enough spare time to do much of anything. That's life
