Hi,

I'm not exactly new to android but I want to get more functionality out of what I have. I have had an android phone for a year now (HTC Inspire). My oldest daughters have Android tablets (Galaxy Tab 7 and a Vizio) and I just ordered an Asus Transformer Infinity TF700 that should be here in 2 days.

I have basically just been adding apps and doing basic stuff but with the new tablet I want to get the most out of the $500 price tag. Also, the Vizio has been disappointing so being able to make it work better for my daughter would be great too.

Hi battyjac, and welcome to Android Forums.

If you want to get the most out of your devices, then my first suggestion would be rooting, and maybe a custom ROM if you feel up to it. This adds a lot more power to your tablets or phone.

I'm not sure which Vizio tablet your daughter has, there are 3 here:

VIA Tablet
VTAB 1008
VTAB 3010

If you do plan to root your device, then I would recommend asking in the All Things Root subsection of the devices forums.

Thanks! I'll look at all of those! The Vizio is the one Costco sold, I don't remember the name. I'll look it up later.
