Hi and welcome to Android Forums!
Congratulations on rooting your phone!
We all started at the same skill level: ZERO. Here we learn things, help each other, make friends and have fun in a family friendly environment. So don't feel like you're somehow different because you're just starting out on a path many of us have traveled. You'll master the process quickly.
Once you get to that point, though, learn the term "nandroid backup" and DO IT. Early and often. It will save your digital hide, believe you me.
It's great to have you here
