Yes, I'm an Idiot.....I accidentally, cut and pasted, instead of copied, the System/App directory from the phones internal memory to the SD Card.....now my phone is in an endless reboot!:(

I could do a factory wipe but I don't want to go through the pains of reinstalling all of my crap...the backup that I have is old! Anyway to boot into a safe mode so that I can copy the folder back to the phone from the SD card?

Thanks

You're best bet is to put your copied system/app folder in a flashable zip and flash it back onto the phone in ClockworkMod Recovery.

If you are still on the Stock ROM or another of the Froyo Roms and are still using ext3 on the system, you can use the emply flashable Zip that I put at the end of this post:

Alternatively, I think if you attach your phone to a linux machine, you should be able to see all of the partitions in linux and you might be able to just copy stuff over to /system --I think somebody had posted this in the all root section earlier but I can't seem to find the post atm.

Actually, right after posting this, I thought that I would take this opportunity to use my newbness to go ahead with Cyanogen Mod and so far, it's working nice. Restoring all of my apps using Titanium back and will see how it behaves....I'm hoping that it resolved the horrible GPS! Thanks for the help though.
