What does EE4 mean? ED1? ED2? From what I gather, it's different version sof firmware but I don't know if EE4 is froyo or Gb

Where can I download a stable CWR? I saw threads for many different ones, but all report some problems.

Can someone link me to the ODIN file that will wipe everything back to stock? I just got my Charge a couple of days ago, so I am assuming it had the newer firmware on it. I may return the device, so I need to get rid of any traces of root and modding.

Even on Humble ROM, my battery life sucks. I read some people are getting good battery life. What are you guys doing differently?

ED1, ED2, & EE4 are the versions of the software the phone is running. The first Charges sold had ED1, were updated to ED2, and then they were updated OTA to EE4. Mine came with ED2 and was updated to EE4 when it was activated at the VZW store.

They are all Froyo.

I have HumbleComb 1.51 and battery life is excellent compared to what I had before. I have imnuts 0807 voodoo lagfix kernel and this ROM, and used the included battery calibration app and have had great success in the last couple of days. I always use wifi at home with mobile data off. And at the moment no 4G in my area. That changes in 10 days so we shall see what that does to it.

If you have ODIN then you can use this info to get back to where you want to be to return it.

ED1, ED2, EE4, EP1F, EP1H, etc are actually versions of the radio firmware, not the OS. The OS has been 2.2.1 (FroYo) or 2.3.4 (Gingerbread). The kernel has yet another version.

For the most part, ED1, ED2, and EE4 have been the radios used with FroYo, while EP1F and EP1H (I believe there was one before EP1F also) have been used with Gingerbread.

I second the Humble suggestion. It's been a great ROM for phone speed and battery life.

yes - that is what I had in my head, but it didn't come out that way as I posted it. Was trying to avoid too technical I guess, and made it sound as if I was referring to OS. Oh well. I'm more of a mybrainisbasicallyfriedmom more than a laughingmom these days. No big deal.

Sorry if I came across as a jerk or anything. I was just trying to clear up information, but sometimes I can come across offensively when I do so.
