Help Help! Accidentally deleted stock FB sync?

Hello fellow super users. I spent some time cleaning off stock HTC apps (Facebook.apk, HTC Facebook and Friend Stream included), but now all my contacts under People are no longer linked to any Facebook accounts. If I go to the Global tab, there is no option to refresh Facebook friends list.

I've tried re-installing Facebook for Android, and I've also tried downloading the Facebook.apk and adding it back into /system/app.

Really, all I want ot do is sync Facebook with my phone contacts to pull in pics and birthdays, I don't care about Friend Stream or HTC's stock FB app. Anyone know what to do?

Do you have a nand backup that was made prior to the app deletions? That might be the easiest way.

Okay, just found out that Friend Stream is integral to Facebook Sync. Does anyone have a copy of the Friend Stream APK and ODEX files?

Backup, then do a factory reset.

I read that factory resets won't restore stock apps you've manually deleted? Does no one have the latest Friend Stream files?

Factory reset will take less than a minute to do. If it doesn't work, just reflash the ROM and restore your backup you made before you reflashed.
