Help Help - activation from abroad?

Good day everyone, please help me:

I have with an unlimited global data plan from Verizon

when I activate it in USA it dials the Verizon activation line and prompts me to press 1 to activate it WITHOUT THAT - THE PHONE CAN'T BE ACTIVATED/USED or can it?

official Verizon instructions:

1. Select Activate (located in the lower right).
   
   
   If not presented, skip to step 5.
2. Listen to the instructions then select 1 when prompted.
   
   
   To enable the Speakerphone, select Speaker (located in the lower right).
   
   
   Stay on the line until activation confirmation is heard.
3. Select Next.

I think it's calling *228 - which doesn't work abroad :'(

so when I reset my entire phone - the activation fails to work work when I'm outside of North America and phone can't be used again!!! no phone, no data, no voice :'(

help!

is there anyway around that activation?

must be some hack!

some way around it...

please help...
