help! brand new android user!

Hi - new and confused!! Have a new transformer T7000 pad and it wants me to download adobe flash, but it won't let me. Is it necessary? I keep getting message that it is not supported. Not a computer whiz, but cann follow directions . Thanks so much.

Hello lakesidelady and welcome. :)

I could be wrong, but I thought the newer versions of Android no longer support adobe flash? You may not need it though. :)

EDIT: Adobe killed off it's support for it so it's no longer on the Playstore. :(

Hi and welcome to Android Forums!

Sadly, Metroid Prime is right: Adobe has discontinued support for Android devices. However: just because it's not in the Play Store doesn't mean you can't install it.

Try this:

Adobe Flash Player for Android Tablets, 4.0 Ice Cream - 4.1 Jelly Bean Apk Download - Best Tablet PC 5 7 9

Make sure you go into Settings --> Security and CHECK the "unknown sources" box. Always be careful about installing apps, but I think you'll be fine with this. Ask any questions you may have and I hope this helps.

It's great to have you here :)

I will try the app. I'D like to upgrade my ice cream sandwich to jelly bean but don't see it in my settings as being possible. I thought i read where the transformer infinity700 was able to do this. Any insight? I'm an old windows user and still finding my way. I really appreciate any help/insights given.

Your carrier might not have the update available which could be the case. If the device is unable to receive the update there's always rooting which can be a solution if you so choose. :)
