I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 running eXtreme ROM. My two year old got hold of my phone and has managed to delete my shortcut button to all my installed apps. I have no idea how I can restore this button.
Do you mean the App Drawer shortcut mate? What launcher are you using? U tried long pressing on home screen and selecting "shortcut" or something?
On nova launcher its "actions"
There' s a shortcut to my app drawer (multiple dots arranged in a square). My daughter has managed to delete that. She's also deleted my text messaging button. Now every time I go to text using text option in phone directory adks me what program I want to use because it seems the text program has been completely deleted. Back to my original question, is there an app which i can lock down app shortcuts so they can't be moved or deleted?
Im not sure on the stock launcher (homescreen app) but if you install Nova launcher it has an option to "import" your current setup to it and it has the option to lock the homescreen so things cant be moved around or deleted accidentally.
Its also much faster than the stock homescreen
