Help HELP!! Charging Issue after the Jelly Bean update

I need help badly :( after updating from ICS to JB last night,i started this charging problem. If i plug my phone using the original charger my battery would still drain if im using it and if not it would take about 4 hours to fully charge it but i notice that after i plug it in to my computer it charges normally. My baseband model is 19300XXDLIB and i used Odin3-v1.85 (following the procedure). I have done a factory reset but still have this issue.Is there anyway i can revert back to ICS? :(

I don't know about S3, my Jelly Bean update was flawless, but it was the first day I had the phone, and it wasn't set up yet. But I had such problems when I was upgrading my S2 from Ginger to Ice Cream. The overall know remedy for it, was factory restore.
It help trash all kind of old files and settings, which could collide with your new installation.

It did work for me like charm, so perhaps you could give it a go.

i've got a similar problem to, ive noticed when im charging my phone the red light isn't as bright as it use to be and takes ages to charge

I already did a factory reset thinking also that could solve the problem but unfortunately it didnt :( im now thinking of redoing the whole process again but not sure if it would fix it or might cause some more problems. But thanks for your suggestion.
 
when plugging into a computer to charge it takes a lot longer due to power being supplied by the usb not being much compared to plugging into a power socket so that could be why there is a difference

I am having the same problem ever since I updated to JB. Mine takes more than 4 hours to fully charge too (from 2% it went up to only 30% when I charged overnight). When I plug it in my laptop, I have to fiddle a bit with the usb cable to get it to charge normally. But using AC, I have tried everything, still charging is very slow :(

Charging using through usb using a computer is even faster(like charging through a normal power socket) than charging through the power socket.
 
Sorry took long to get back on this forum as I was happy again using my original firmware ICS but then I tried my luck again last night but this time i update via OTA. I thought it would fix the problem but no luck :mad: Now im back to ICS and everything is back to normal. From here I have no idea what to do. Ive researched for hours and one forum say about switching off fast dormancy which i will need to root my device but I dont wanna do that for now. In the meantime i will stay with my ICS firmware and wait for any solution on this issue.
 
I finally got it to work after reverting back & forth(ics-jb-ics-jb). Average chrging now is 2 1/2 hrs - 3 from %20-%100. And it doesnt dischrge anymore when im using it while chrging.

please tell me how to revert back to ics officialy(without rooting) ..?
after updating to JB , charging the phone has been the worst task of my life...a complete pain... does this issue even have a solution ?
 
Just
1.search and download Odin3 v3.04
2.Download your firmware at sammobile.
3.Dont forget to install samsung kies.
4.Put your phone to recovery mode by holding the power+home+volume up simultanously
5.Plug in your S3 to your laptop/desktop and open Odin choose pda and locate the firmware you downloaded. Then start :)

Dont forget to backup all your data

So I installed Odin3 v3.04 and downloaded the ICS firmware.
But I'm unsure about the Samsung Kies. I have installed it on my computer.
Do I have to launch it while installing the ICS firmware via Odin3?
 
For anyone else reading, keep Kies closed while using Odin.. they dont play nicely :thumbup:
P.s, its Download Mode you use with Odin, not recovery :p (vol' down)
