Root Help!! Computer wont recognize Thunderbolt

Hello!

I have flashed new Roms and Radios via my SD CARD. I can not get my computer to recognize my phone. It will only charge. This just happened all of a sudden. I am at a loss hope someone can help me. I have been able to do the things I need to by taking out my sd card and putting in a adapter to put in my computer but my phone will only charge with the usb cord is connected to the computer. It doesnt even give me a notification to choose usb, computer, charge only

Have you tried different USB cables and ports? If you're on a custom Rom,might try restoring back to stock,Temporarily.

It sounds to me like a cable issue.

Dude I have the same problem.. its the bolt I tried diff computers, cords and even the dock station. I am at a loss also.

It sounds like a cable issue. Three of the four cables that I have don't work with any of our Android devices...

Out of curiosity, which ROM?

I had the same problem with my T-Bolt last month. I had 3 symptoms occur at the same time (about 1-month after I tried the ICS Leak).

1) My SD Card went Write Protect, even when using a micro-SD Reader where I could control the WP line.

2) When I looked at the device under USBView, it was registering as a USB Hub with a single port. This prevented me from even accessing the phone with ADB.

3) My bootloader went nuts ended up in with HTC reboot loop when I tried a recovery ROM or restore settings.

I ended up just replacing the phone... I hope you have better luck.

had you tried running an ruu? id have tried a .exe style ruu utility, wich could have been run with the phone in fastboot, and no sd present.

thats alot of wierd stuff at once

It was a very weird situation, drove me completely nuts for awhile. I even contemplation getting out a JTAG debugger and going low level. However, I had a trip planned and needed the phone back up.

I did try the "normal" RRU recovery off the SD Card, and that was when I discovered that the Recovery and Factory restore just boot looped.

Then after I couldn't get the phone to show up in ADB too, I figured it was DEAD.

I am not aware of an .exe style RRU Utility, although that would be a good tool for the toolbox. Can you point me at one you recommend?

Thanks.

there are some .exe utilities in footballs folder, some at shipped roms:
Shipped ROMs

the utility should be run as administrator if possible, and can be started with the phone in fastboot,or the booted OS.

2.11.605.9 is the newest ive seen an actual .exe RUU for. when your s 0ff,this is no big deal, but if youre dealing with an s-on phone,it may not be an option.
