My Droid razr went belly up last Friday and had to be sent out for repair while I've been waiting I've been looking at a galaxy nexus and have one question for anyone who already has one. is the signal problem really that bad, this is my only concern due to the fact of working a job were I'm on call 24/7 and have my phone on and with me at all times. I really like my razr but since I lost everything on it I might as well start over with the the lastest phone

And neither is the signal issue with the GNEX in my experience. I have data drop out on me semi regularly and even phone signal now and then. The phone signal is close to a non issue BUT IT SHOULD NOT EVEN BE "CLOSE."

Would I buy it again?

Yes since in my opinion there is no solid competitor other than maybe the MAXX but there some items about the MAXX I am not thrilled about too so here I am... waiting for improvements to come.

If you live remotely close to a tower, you'll be fine. I've made over 100 calls on my phone and never dropped one. I've also never lost data except in areas where other phones lost it too due to being in the mountains.

Oh, and I had the RAZR for a week. It's a great phone, for sure, but until it gets Android 4.x, the Galaxy Nexus blows it away due to the OS.

I live in central NJ. Never ever had a signal problem. Full bars since the day I got it.

This.

We get shiddy reception in my house but my experience with the Nexus hasn't been any worse than my Inc or my wife's Fascinate. dbm wise, the numbers are the same. I do lose signal in the same dead spots on the way to work that I used to, but isn't that to be expected?

*Disclaimer: We don't have 4G where I am, so I can't comment on hand-offs or signal strength there. But 3G wise, I haven't noticed a difference. And I've yet to drop a call.
