You're best bet would probably be to transfer from the phone to a PC then from the PC the thumbdrive.
Alternatively, you could transfer the file somewhere on the t'interweb and have whoever you want to send it to download it from there - you may find you have some free space on t'interweb related to your broadband account or an e-mail account.

Hi chiefbob. Welcome to AF. The same pretty much holds true for your tablet. You should be able to connect it to your PC and copy or move your video to your PC. From there it's a simple an empty USB for your thumb drive and another move. Another option is to open a cloud account and upload the file there. You can then download the file to your PC and then copy it off to a thumb drive. I hope this helps.
