Help Help for unwanted pop up that just started

Newbie here and not a savoy techie either, so please bare with me.....
This morning I clicked on my weather app and the next thing i see are embarrassing pop ups. They kept coming up when I hit the back button on the bottom of the phone. I was really embarrassed to say the least. How do I stop this from happening again? Thank you

If rooted, adfree and/or droidwall will deal with these things. If not? I've heard good things about airpush detector and addons detector They won't stop the ads, but will tell you which app(s) are causing them so you can uninstall them. Enjoy!
