Help, forgotten pattern lock...?

Today I made the mistake of setting a pattern lock, and with my horrible memory this did not go well...
I could not remember it, and after several tries I decided to hit the "forgot password." It asked for my gmail account, and I do not remember creating one, after many tries, I gave up.

Are there any fixes? Is my only option a hard reset? I have a samsung moment.

Also, if I do the hard reset, will I have to activate my phone again with Sprint? o.o

Not sure how you are going to do a hard reset w/o accessing the menu options.

Try typing null, I've heard rumors that this will work but have not verified it.

Don't you have to create a gmail account when you go through the initial setup process? I already had one, but the VZW rep had my sister set one up for her Eris.

Try contacting Google and your service provider. Or... you can always ship it to me and I'll "fix" it for you.
