help...galaxy tab 2 n video player

As the name indicates...so not techy savvy!!

I thought if I downloaded movies to my tab then it should not use any data when the movie is watched....is that not true.....my boys were watching netflix and that used way lots of data......the movies show to be on my sd card so I am confused as to why I see data usage on the video player....

Please help!

Welcome nottootechy!
I would assume that the entire movie can't be on your sd card as that would take up alot of memory. I would assume you were streaming the movie.
I am not familiar with your device, so I don't know the memory spec's on it.
But here is a link to your device forum:

And just in case you have the Tab2 10.1, here is a link there too:

Thanks for joining:D

Welcome to the forums!

Netflix always uses data when in use, it's weird how it works, but even if you download the movie it still acts like it's streaming, it might not use as much, but I have found this issue.

Unfortunate, but you might need to just go through a different program to watch the movie instead of Netflix, or go over Wifi.

Thanks for joining and I hope this helps :)
