Help getting a new SD card

Im pretty much clueless when it comes to phones so sorry if i sound like an idiot. its because i am.

I have a samsung galaxy ace, and the sd card that came with it only has 1.86GB of memory, which isnt a lot, so i wanted to buy a new one so i could put all of my music onto it, and im not sure if the new card that i buy will actually be compatible with my phone.

Would any of you be able to recommend me an sd card that will definitely be compatible with my phone? im looking for 8GB or more

Thanks a lot for any help you can give me

The size of the card memory depends upon your requirement, this phone can support upto 32gb. Now there are 2 choices you have to make, the memory card size that you want and the class of the card. Class is basically the read/write speed of the class, it comes in 2,4,6 and 10 speeds.
Now choose what size and class you need. It is recommended to use higher class cards with large memory space so that the phone does not slows down due to the large card size.
I use a sandisk 8gb class 6 sd card, although at this size class 4 is sufficient but i needed to shift my internal memory over the sd card so i needed more speed out of it. Class is usually written as a small 'number inside a circle' on top right space on the sd card.
