Root HELP! Getting "Sorry, your system version doesn't allow downloaded apps to operate files on your SD"

I flashed the stock ROM and a custom kernel, and now I'm getting an error while using the app iTag Music Editor saying that it can't write on my external SD card. I've never had this problem before. I've tried KitKat SD card fix apps and it says its fixed but iTag still gives me the error and won't let me edit my music. Can someone help ):

Is it possible that this is a newer version of iTag? It may just be seeing that you are on KitKat and blindly blocking SD access.

I tried a lot of things. I had to call sprint yesterday for an issue on my phone, and the rep took me into the RTN menu and reset my whole phone, and now the internal memory is corrupted and I lost everything on my phone, so they are sending me a replacement phone (after I had to pay money for a phone they broke, of course). But yes, I think it was the system thinking I had KitKat. I tried multiple fixes and none worked.

EDIT
I was able to reinstall the stock ROM, I don't know how it installed after it kept giving me an internal memory corrupted error, but hey, it works until my replacement phone gets here
