I would like to create an Android App that allows people to geotag a public map with a note and an image, and maybe a few other fields. I have never made an Android App before but found this great tutorial:

Which is basically EXACTLY what I need, except seems to be limited to just that user's map. I would like to make a single map that is publicly taggable by anyone. It will be limited to a specific city (if that really matters).
Can anyone give me some tips on how I might adapt this tutorial to work this way? Any links or additional tutorials or info would be greatly appreciated. I'm excited to build my first app!
