Help Help - GPS Issue

Anyone having issues with GPS? I purchased the phone yesterday and it is nice (very fast & the screen is incredible). Unfortunately, I tried to use the GPS today and it took approximatley 60+ seconds to lock. I tried it later in the house and it is having difficulty finding satellites, where my wife's Photon 4G locks within 5 seconds (some case 5 to 7 satellites).


Please tell me I have a defetive unit. I will not go through another Epic 4G GPS disaster.

GPS has been really fast for me. The times I've tried, I had a lock within 2 seconds while in my car. I just tried it right now from inside about 8 feet from a window, and got a GPS lock within 5 seconds.

Please tell me I have a defetive unit.

I didn't even give the GPS a second thought. I turned it on to use navigation yesterday and it worked great. No lag, just works like it should.

How do you know it's having difficulty locking on to satellites?

I used GPS Test & GPS Status from the Android Market and inside the house (near a window) I could not get one satellite.

Thanks Everyone - I had a defective phone and the replacement works perfectly. The new unit locks on to Satellites very quickly.

The new phone locks as quickly as my wife's Photon 4G.
