Help Help! GS3 not reckognizing headphones

When I plug in my headphones to the audio jack i can hear a clicking noise coming through them. When I try to play music, however, it plays out of the built in speaker. Unsure of what to do!
 
Hmmm, have you tried a different pair of earphones?
Quite possible the headphone jack is starting to go on the fritz or perhaps something got lodged in the port?
