Help Help! Help! Help! Galaxy S4 users, have you experienced this with your SD card?

Something I've been noticing with my Galaxy S4 and the SD card. I'll have the phone plugged in via USB, I'll go to either delete a file or add it only to see that the deleted file will magically reappear and the files I added aren't there anymore.

This has been an on-going issue and it's really annoying. I've formatted my SD card, I'm deleting the files through my PC when the phone is plugged in the USB, and I've even tried adding files and nothing works. I should also mention that I have the program Synctunes to sync my music from iTunes to my droid. Not sure if this affects things differently.

Anyone else have this issue and what did you do about it?

I am with AT&T and I have android 4.4.2.

Hi there, innovator3, and welcome to Android Forums. :)

Sounds like you're having a rather annoying problem! I've moved this to the S4 board so fellow owners will be more likely to see it. We have a great group of members here, and someone will probably be able to help solve your issue.

Someone else on here had the same issue. They never said if they fixed it or not. But the last suggestion was a hard key factory reset and and hard key clear cache.

The issue I'm having with an AT&T S4 and S5 is that when transferring files to or from the phone whether it be the internal or the SD card, as it's transferring, it stops with the message

a device attached to the system is not functioning.

This forces me to unplug the phone from the computer, and plug it back in. Sometimes it happens again, and other times, it works as intended. This ONLY happens with AT&T models. My MetroPCS S3 never had this issue and it's VERY annoying. Almost as if AT&T doesn't want you transferring files to and from the phone.
