Help Help! Hp touchpad not working!

Lurker
Ok, my friend gave me an hp touchpad. No idea what kind it is, all I know is that it's bricked. His cousin tried converting the touchpad into an android tablet and he screwed up at some point in the process and now the touchpad won't even work. He gave it to my friend and my friend gave it to me. He said if I knew how to fix it, I can keep it. So far, I've tried holding the power button with the volumes, with the home key, waiting eternities for something to come up and nothing. I did notice that when I pressed the power button, up&down volumes and the center home key while it's plugged into my laptop, my laptop makes a little noise like if it were recognizing it but nothing pops up. I really need help! How can I fix this touchpad??

Holding the power and home keys is the correct combo to force a reboot. You may have to hold for 30 seconds or more. You can also try holding the power button while pressing the home button repeatedly for a couple of minutes. How long have you tried leaving it plugged into the wall charger? At any point have you seen the HP boot logo? It's a pulsing circle with HP in the middle of it.

When I purchased a used one, I spent 30minutes using WebOS after resetting it to remove traces of the previous owner.

I have not logged a single second of WebOS time since doing so two months ago. It's all been CM10 for me...
