HELP, I cant log into the Market

Hi,

I've got a HTC desire and im running froyo at the moment. I turned my phone off last night and then when i turned it on today it cant access the market and when i tap the on screen app it is asking me to log in. The problem is Ive only ever logged in once to the market from a gmail account but this log in page is asking for a password for a youtube email account and you cant change the log in name it only allows access to the password box. Another confusing thing is I've tried the youtube email account and it says that there is no account registered at that address??!??!?!? I do have a youtube account and have tried the password but it doesn't accept it

you can log into YouTube with Gmail, try loggin' into YouTube on a computer with your Gmail account, see how that goes.
