Root HELP!! I'm stuck with the at&t boot logo Captivate

after i flash my samsung captivate using odin3 flashing the tar file for rooting my, i got stuck on the at&t boot logo... i do not know what to do, can somebody help me...
i am in need so badly... :stickyman:
 
What version of Android did you have on your phone? Which file did you flash to root? My guess is that you flashed a kernel incompatible with the version of Android installed on your phone. You may have to take it back to stock.
 
You can try flashing back to the stock kernel, but if I recall 2.3.5 is where the official version for the i897 stopped. You most likely will have to take it back to stock. For me, I had to take a soft-bricked Captivate all the way back to 2.1 and then update it using the official updates through Kies mini to bring it up to stock 2.3.5 before it would root properly.
