Root HELP.. in rooting a T679 Galaxy Exhibit 4G (T679UVLE1)

Hi .. I'm a new member
Is there any way possible I could get some help?
I am having one heck of a time finding any info on rooting my particular phone...

First off let me say it is a prepaid... in which I had purchased from Walmart about a month ago... What I have is a T-Mobile SGH-T679 Exhibit 4G
I am assuming it is an Exhibit II ... I know from reading around, that it is the newer revision in which one has to use a different method than the standard that happened to be the only one I could find on the net.... sigh ... and everything I did find had broken links..


On the bottom of box on the barcode sticker it says:
SAM T679 Galaxy Exhibit 4G NAC TD Kit

Baseband version: T679UVLE1
Android version: 2.3.6
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-perf-T679UVLE1-CL1111690 se.infra@SEI-28 #3
Build number: GINGERBREAD.UVLE1




If anyone on here could help me, I'd greatly appreciate it beyond words..

Currently Zergrush is incompatible with the newer models like I have.. so no dice on zergrush at the moment..
 
Bump... I really need help on this guys/gals....


Does anyone know if the author of zergrush plans on updating it for this revision ? When it comes to all the jargon and technical stuff I am definitely a noob..
 
if you like, i can email you the software to root it, very simple, just install it, and click on where it says root, you can also unroot

I would greatly appreciate it if you could do that... Are you absolutely sure it is for the T679UVLE1 revision of this phone??
Because on this newer revision of this model of phone, samsung pretty much made it alot more difficult to root, as zergrush and other ways didnt work...

Also any steps/instructions or anything would be helpful..

Hi icepick!

I bought an Galaxy Exhibit 4G from WalMart just last night and used the instructions posted by 'merryjohn' to root it this AM. Worked GREAT, root status has stayed through several reboots now.

My phone is a different version than yours - a T679UVLG3, which if Samsung names them sequentially, *should be* a later version than yours. so I think his solution should be viable for you.
