Help HELP.. is it dead??

Can't turn on & no battery level indicator when it's plugged in, is there anything I can do..?
It is rooted but doesn't have a rom installed.. that means that I can't return to Google right..?

Not sure, could of been battery was too low and it went into deep sleep mode, I always make sure if it gets to half battery, I have the wife put it back on the charger.

mine actually does this quite alot, long press of the power button usually does it though

Me too. More often that not, when I turn it on after being powered down, it takes about 30 seconds.
