Apps Help Making an App

Ok, so my idea is an android app that lets you connect to Skype's Chat only. No calls or anything. Just messaging.

Thing is, I don't know how to do this so i'm reaching out to you guys for help. Any help would be appreciated.

If there's an app like this already then that'd be nice but I haven't found one.

I haven't used this, but I just did some quick digging for information about using Skype in an app. It looks like what you have to do is launch a skype client from your app. I could be wrong, but I don't think it's technically possible to access limited Skype functionality, as you wish to do.

My only issue is, only app "development" i've done is with mit app inventor. im trying to learn to code but beong busy doesnt help with that
