3.should I set the apn settings manually or will the settings sent by the network provider work...?

4.will their be any problems in my mini to use it as a dial up modern to my pc after the upgrade...?

Hello mate, just go for it mate, you should be fine, i upgraded over a month ago and when i did there was no specific verison for india but from pervious forum users it all worked out well... so go for what one you think is best, i went for the europe one and that installed russian language as default i'm from the UK, i'm going to try to downgrade back to froyo and then try an offical upgrade

Thanks for the reply...i will go for
s5570xxkpk## as it is the latest version..in case if their is any problem after flashing to gb, is the method same (that is using odin) to flash back to stock froyo...

Yes mate pretty much the same, just make sure your battery is fully charged before attempting to flash, this is important because if you have probs and need to reflash you wont be able to charge the phone and if your battery die you can't flash.

I personally have s5570xxkpk yet but i will try soon, the stable version i'm on is S5570SERKPI, but it does have few probs.

Let me know how you get on bro

Then how you call it as a Stable Version??!!

Then how you call it as a Stable Version??!!

All firmwares have bugs, officalls, leaks, custom. By stable i mean fully working with no major bugs, the original froyo firmware would turn off the screen and it would not come back on, that is a major bug and that was an official stable release by samsung.

I've had two problems with this firmware, 1 being i cannot send text messages nor use any kind of internet unless both options for "Use packet data" and "Use 2G networks" are enabled at the same time... clearly it's meant to be one or the other.

Second problem is the volume issue, that is something that existed on froyo, sometimes the volume goes low and regardless or maxing it up it,s still low, i haven't figured out what's triggering that but i haven't had it for a while, other than those two problems, the firmware works great.

I do believe though that an unbranded froyo is alot faster than this, however this is alot faster than the bloated branded firmware from vodafone that i had

As it is the european version...will I be able to access the market apps (i have not rooted) with the european csc...? Or should I use a indian csc and how do I find it..please don't scold me for being so dump..as this is the first time I am a bit scared..

Use the indian csc, it should be next to the firmware, don't be worried if you do something wrong you can always reflash your phone, lots of people here to help you if you have any problems
