Help me pick out a new Android :D

What I know about Android phones: There are many of them.
What I don't know about Android phones: Which one to get.

Basically I'd like a decent Android phone without a keyboard, just a touch screen. My current phone is the granddaddy of Androids, the T-Mobile G1, and while I'd obviously like something faster than that, I'm not exactly looking for the greatest Android in existence. In fact, I'm not really planning on spending more than $250 on a no-contract phone I might be able to buy new somewhere online for T-Mobile. What phones would you guys suggest I look into?

I would recommend waiting for a month if possible. The holiday shopping season is coming up and there are new phones waiting to be released.

I'm actually not really interested at all in getting a new phone, just a decent phone. I'd buy, for example, the Nexus One, but it's just slightly above my price range at $290 for a new one online.

Ok, then you might visit this page. Scott Swain compiled, and updates, that page to help folks decide on which phone to purchase. Some great info there.

A Galaxy SL is priced at around $300. Dont know if that's available in your country, but it has the same specs as the more expensive Galaxy S except for having less internal memory and an S-LCD screen instead of AMOLED. Once the holiday season comes in and new phones are released, its gonna go cheaper.

I bought a used-but-in-like-new-condition EVO 4G on eBay for $202.50. After you have decided which phone you want, see what's available. I had to bid (and lose) on 3-4 phones before I got what I wanted for a price I was willing to pay.
