Root Help me please! Couple of issues

I have a rooted lg p500 running cm7. Just today the home button has stopped working, and also when the screen is off and I press the power button it goes straight to home screen rather than the lock screen. Anyone know what the problem is?

Also incoming calls are going straight to voice mail. Thanks in advance for any help

I have tried rebuilding dalvik cache in a2sd but didn't do anything helpful, don't really know what else to try. I have to go soon but will be back later to check on any ideas.

Also just before titanium backup told me my android id has changed or something along those lines. I haven't flashed a new rom recently or factory restored or anything :/ This whole thing is baffling to me.

Google suggests that factory reset may help, but i'm sure I remember reading on here once thats a dangerous move with a rooted phone so want some advice before I do anything like that. Is that something I should try or not? If it is something I should try, I assume I should ti backup all my last app data first? Would that be affected by the change of android id I have apparently had?

As noone was here to help at the time and I really needed my phone to receive calls I decided to try the factory reset. Luckily for me it worked! Bit of a mission but I got the phone back to how I like it now I am actually having trouble logging into my google account (its saying I don't have a reliable connection when I am connected to wifi) but everything else is working so I am happy.
